Jim’s rhythmic journey ignited at the age of 12 in 1979 when he witnessed a drum & bugle corps marching, an experience that fueled his passion for drumming, leading him to declare to his father, “That’s what I want to do!” Over the years, Jim has immersed himself in the artistry of influential drummers like Neil Peart of Rush, Jeff Porcaro of Toto, Simon Phillips of various projects, and Dave Weckl of the Chick Corea Elektric Band. Though he doesn’t emulate any single drummer, Jim has synthesized elements from these masters to forge his unique style.
