Lead Guitar & Vocals
Juan’s inspiration to pick up the guitar began during his junior high school years in Miami, after hearing Eddie Van Halen’s Fair Warning. Armed with a beat-up old guitar that had only two strings, Juan embarked on his musical journey and quickly gravitated toward melodic guitar playing inspired by bands such as 38 Special, the Allman Brothers, Scorpions, and his all-time favorite, Lynyrd Skynyrd.
Vocally, Juan was first influenced by R&B artists including Kool & The Gang, Shalamar, Dan Hartman, and Earth, Wind & Fire. He also developed a strong appreciation for rich vocal harmonies, drawing inspiration from Little River Band, the Eagles, and Alabama.
Over the past 10 years, Juan has focused on refining his acoustic and electric guitar skills while developing strong lead and harmony vocals. He performs regularly with Sugar The Band and Bedlam Station, as an acoustic solo artist, and on Sundays at his church.
